Brazilian Spider Flower.

An erect to spreading shrub with velvety-hairy green leaves.
Saucer-shaped reddish purple flowers from summer to autumn.
Height 3-6m. Spread 2-3m.

This is a an absolutely stunning plant. Flower late summer early Autumn in the south east flowers up to December. Flowers have metallic silkey shine to them making them jump out. Soft red stem with older foliage becoming redder later in the season makes this plant a must have for the sheltered garden. Grows well near the sea, likes a bit of shade. Can grow into a small tree. In frost prone areas wrapped with fleece or bubble in winter if frost likely. Great for conservatory plant.

Flower colour Red, Purple. Flowers from June to October.
Evergreen.
Foliage colour Green.
Not hardy. does ok in mild area slike wexford waterford and coastal areas, Need shelter from harsh frosts. Best kept near the house, while young in a container.

Planting instructions Back-fill with soil mixed with peat and a suitable fertiliser.
